The Simona Story
Simona has been one of Australia's leading and most respected designer labels since being founded by Inge and George Fonagy in Sydney in 1963.
During the 1970’s, Inge’s children Deanne and John joined the company followed shortly thereafter by John’s wife Geraldine. The family tradition continued to evolve when Geraldine and John’s daughter Jackie joined Simona in 2004.
Today, we are proud to be a privately owned Australian company with over 40 years experience in manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing and three generations dedicated to continue to offer beautifully designed and superbly made fashion using only the very best fabrics the world has to offer.
The Simona label is inspired by classic international styles and there are five distinct labels within the Simona group: Simona, SimonaSport, R&R and Diffusion.
There are Simona retail boutiques throughout Australia.
